Bob, the district of Bellevue didn't exist until long after Joey was out of power.

Bob's Opinion :
Joe Smallwood once said " you could run an old yeller dog in Bellevue and he would be elected, now I can see that the proof is in the pudding.

Do you know what a has-been is ? " you're it.. I have been a Tory all my life, Nice knowing you Mr. Peach. " It is better to close your mouth and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt,"

Ed. A (again) :
i find it hard to believe that a politician would come out in public and say such a thing.

OH MY GOD! I can't stop laughing! Is that Dunderdale's latest brainstorm? Blame it on Harper. She took the high road - no more ABC and now she resorts to "blame it on Harper" What a bunch

JMA :
Mr. Peach's comments reminds me of an incumbant who lost his seat on St. John's Council. Following his loss he said that the voters made a mistake and he hasen't been heard from since. I am guessing Mr. Peach will live the same fate next election and it will be the voters fault.

NLers know the difference between the federal Harper government and the provincial PC government. It's just that they don't like either. Unfortunately, NLers have a generally socialist outlook. The only way the PCs have ever managed to get elected in this province is by appealing to the fear and hate of NLers. That is what Danny Williams did - he ranted and raved and burned bridges througout his time in office, and NLers ate it up. He achieved nothing and his policies were indistinguishable from those of the Liberals, but his perpetual anger kept him popular. Dunderdale is taking a more mature and dignified approach, and as a result NLers are losing interest in the PC government. I expect NLers will return to their default of electing socialists in the next election.

Call a WHHHAAAAAMBULANCE, Calvin Peach.
Your party is finished. It's over. Nothing left now but to count the votes and see how badly your a$$es get handed to you.
ABPC!!!! and ABC!!!!

Stephen Harper is to blame for the PC popularity... that's nothing new... why is this even in the 'news'... this is an everyday fact that everyone knows already.

Dawn Oday :
Could this really be true? And when you lose your seat in the next election (along with most of the other PC members) whose fault will it be then? The voters???? Someone please get this man some good drugs...the ones he's are are making him delusional.

Tweet Tweet.... :
Dude, get your head out of the clouds!!! You're comments just show how out of touch you really are. The PC's rode the coattails of Danny Williams and have systematiclly destroyed (or are in the middle of destroying) everything that he did to improve and advance this province.
SA's list says it all......and I'm sure we will be able to add to this before election time.

as a former PC supporter i truly believe that mr. peach just fell off the turnip truck. no person in this province can even think that the provincial governing party did not bring the downfall on themselves. they have even destroyed the credability of the most honest politician in nfld. (tom marshall) so how could any voters trust them. mr. peach theres a lot of you that fell off the same truck and i don't think you will be able to get back on. take your GOLD plated pension and move on.

I`ll bet anyone this guy doesen`t get elected next election . Wake up and smell the coffee. It`s comments from ill informed members like Peach who only add fuel to the fire . Are you really that stupid . It was the ABC campaign that gave Williams such an overwhelming [popularity in the polls . Remember it was not the other way around you ill informed back bencher...............Dunderdale really helps too .....

Confused :
You are part of the problem Mr. Peach, you do not listen to the voters in your riding...you only squeeked in during last election as it was, you have no desire to do anything in your riding and the people of your riding know it. When asked questions not only do you deflect, you ignore entirely...you always blame another government department, and you refuse to fight for anything other than your pension. Time to stop blaming everyone else and do your job....maybe if you tried it once in a while you wouldn't have to worry about padding your pension, you might actually be liked by your constituients enough that you wouldn't have to beg the votes the week of the election.

Harper is the Federal reason and he only got in the second time because there was no alternative. The reason for the provincial decline is you and other members of your head-in-the-sand party. Bill 29 alone has changed my vote to NDP for the first time. MHA Forsey of Bishop Falls would not have ever gotten support from me if I knew he would support something like that. See ya next election...NOT!

Bob's Opinion :
That is the biggest cop-out I have ever heard, The local PC government is doing a fine jos of cutting their own throat. Even Bellevue won't be PC after the next election. Wise-up and have a leadership election.

Where has this guy been??? Harper is a contributor but not the primary reason. Open your mind Mr. Peach. Wait, Mr. Peach is a conservative. They do not know how to open their minds and listen to the concerns of the public. SA said it all!!!

Young Voters :
It is obvious that the PC/Conservative party does not have any intentions to cater to it's young voter population. On the other hand, NDP is making a huge effort to accomodate youth and getting them to the polls. Your time in the spotlight is over, PC!! Make room for the future of the province.

Is this guy for real? Does he think we all just fell from a banana boat? So now he thinks that we are all to stunned to know the difference between the Federal Conservatives and the Provincial PC's. Mr. Peach, you and your Government are solely responsible for the fall of your popularity; your decision and policies are the blame and to even suggest that we don't know the difference is a key indicator as to just how out of touch you all are.

Buckshot :
I gotta say. How can you blame anyone but yourselves. You PCs must be feeling bad now. I am sure there are people in your party that just want to tell Dunderdale to step down while you still have something to save. The party member that comes out and say that we need new leadership will get in for sure in the next election. If any of you PC MHAs whay to save face, come out now and say what you realy think.

First of all the PC's of Newfoundland is not the same party as the Conservatives of Canada. Second, the PC's are digging their own graves.

Has this individual been out of touch with national politics for the last number of years, eg. the ABC campaign, Harper's broken promises, need I go on. Mr Williams popularity was unprecented in Canadian political history. The new premier's popularity doesn't even come close. She rode in on his popularity now she has to make her own way

Reality Check Time :
Mr Peach are you serious? Your ex Party Leader Danny Williams did a supreme job in differentiating the Conservative Party of Canada and the Progressive Conservative Party of Newfoundland and Labrador. Perhaps Mr. Peach, you should avail yourself of the archives readily available from the media as a refresher. I feel that you are talking down to the people who took pride in their civic duty to vote in the last election. While some voters are sheep and can be persuaded by election year money disbursements some of us are not sheep and have brains! We can clearly see a train wreck coming for your PC party. Many fine upstanding citizens can see how our Premier Dunderdale and her cabinet are failing us. The PC Government may win the next election, but I wager you will be looking at a lot more faces on the opposition side. At least then you can be held to a higher standard and do the people's bidding. I strongly suggest Mr Peach, that you wake up and smell the coffee!
