Mr. Ed :

If found not guilty at the new trial will society see him as innocent or getting away with the crime. It seems we as a society are eager to convict someone before they have their day day in court. If this person is found not guilty in the new trial they (the accused and his family) will have to live with this for the rest of their lives. It seems there is no justice for the falsly accused once they are charged.

Agreed :

Exactly. Damage is done as soon as the claim is made.

Wayne P :

When it comes to sexual assault, that mans name should not be released until PROVEN guilty. Then if he IS guilty, feed him to the dogs, there is no place in society for it. But if the assault claim was made falsely, the mans name is still mud whether he is cleared of the charges or not.
