Vince Gallant has already marked his golden anniversary in radio. Vince started at CJRW in Summerside in 1954, and has worked at radio and television stations in Moncton, Halifax, Montreal and St.John’s. He’s been in Newfoundland since 1976, in what he calls the best move he ever made. Vince is a multi award winning journalist, and in 2001, claimed the coveted Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Radio Newscast.  In 2004, Vince marked 20 consecutive years of co-anchoring the top rated VOCM 1:00pm Major Newscast. Vince is now semi-retired and works part-time for VOCM News.
